The Indus Valley civilization was a Bronze age civilization. The Indus Valley is now in Northeast Afghanistan to Pakistan and Northwest India.
What have they done for us?They people of the Indus Valley did not leave any type of large, strong construction like the pyramids for the Egyptians and the Great wall of china. Only a little of The civilization in the Indus was found but it was cover in rock and dirt.
The only thing the Indus people passed on was there skills of trading, farming and brick making. The roots of Hinduism is mostly in the Indus Valley as, they worship a "mother goddess" and the people of the Indus Valley have there own "mother goddess". They have passed on the way of living peacefully, even the poorest of people with get enough flood to survive. The cities the Indus people lived in were very clear and were in very livable places. there were drains to get water of paths, the water on the ground didn't go into the water that they drank. there were many wells to collect water. Everything the Indus people did is now shown in the world today. The Swastika is a cross with its arms facing in right angles. The symbol mean goodness. the nae name Swastika come from a ancient language called Sanskrit and means 'good to be'. This symbol was found in also as a Hinduism symbol and meaning is 'good luck', there is also a symbol like the Swastika found in Buddhism and means 'rebirth'. |
